Septembre was formed in Miami, Florida shortly after The Roonies broke up (around 2002) and formed Project Roonie Aftermath. Septembre’s founding members were Christian Andrew on vocals and guitar, Peter Arzeno on drums (The Parlophone, Petros, Late Light Curly) and Renzo Gorrio on bass and vocals (Objects In Transit, Late Light Curly, Hydroplane). Jorge Bueno (Prizefighter) joined on lead guitar shortly after. Peter left after a few years and Tom Gorrio, Renzo’s brother (Be-Sharps, Prizefighter, No Stars Here, Lasso The Moon, Baby Calendar, Call It Radar, Radar vs. Wolf) joined on drums. Around the same time Jillian Marie joined on synth and vocals. This line up recorded the bands first studio EP (Septembre S/T) in 2004. After that there were a ton of line up changes with Tom and Jill leaving and friends filling in including David Mackerd, Andrew Mclees, & Joe Amaros.
Septembre toured once with Tom, Renzo, & Christian to Georgia (Sawyze’s) and North Carolina (Lazy Eye) in 2003 and played a bunch locally including opening up for Q And Not U, & The Reputation. The farewell show was on 4-20-05 at 420 Fest Miami at Churchill’s Pub, a stomping ground for the band.
