I also spent the past couple of months on their new website to match the new look of the catalog, price guide and business cards for a complete corporate face lift. I love these kinds of projects because it allows me the ability to coordinate all aspects of a company’s corporate identity from letterhead to web graphic making a cohesive impression for clients and customers.

The new website is going live today and we are all very excited for it’s launch!

This limited batch is going for $8 a pop so get them while they are hot!

If you are in Miami I highly suggest stopping by the shop if you have never been. It’s next door to the historic Churchill’s Pub where both Marilyn Manson and myself played our first live show! It’s is a sort of English pub in the heart of Little Haiti!

Artists and musicians, if you are interested in setting up on January 8th, please post to this event’s wall.

One of the most common is how to change fonts and font colors in the theme.

Fonts and colors can be changed in the CSS file. Before editing PHP or CSS files always make sure you have the original one on your computer in case you mess something up. Because if you do the whole site will crash and you will need to log into FTP and replace the damaged file with the original.

You can either download the css file from FTP (root>wp-contents>themes>emporium>and find the custom.css and style.css files) then download them and open and read style.css on how to edit custom.css. do not edit style.css.edit using notepad (not wordpad or any other program)

You can also edit CSS files in WordPress go to Dashboard > Appearances (side bar) Editor (drop down) it will take you to the theme editor. On the bottom left you will see Styles with style.css and custom.css. Click on custom.css and edit the parts you want. I would suggest making one change and (update file) then look at the site. Then keep going. That way if something goes wrong you can download the damaged css and know what to fix in notepad then re-upload and continue where you left off.

Editing CSS is very fickle and tedious, especially if you are not experienced, so you have been warned.

Come out and support the great local artists and musicians that will be converging on Sam Flax this weekend. It will be a wonderful opportunity to see some of what Orlando’s art scene has to offer in a relaxed open-air environment.

Timeline is a sleek layout which is a step in the right direction aesthetically with background header images and a neat floating frame layout for pictures, images, updates & apps.

There has been an overwhelming amount of negative criticism towards the most recent Facebook updates with the update right-side bar above the chat menu and image viewer. Some, I am sure, is simply the hate of change which I imagine will soon be replaced with “I LOVE THIS SITE” once more.

We will see how Timeline is received. It seems like a nice idea, let’s see how it performs.

I will be set up with my cutting board and materials creating my “Modern House in a Box” pocket sized architectural models.
